"Thank you so much! Everything about both cottages has been perfect. Your friendly welcome IS part of the perfection. Our stay in Dykehead has been comfortable and after rambling from glens to bens, the comfort of such cottages made us feel fit for other outings in the Scottish countryside! We were not far from Callander and its local walks are worth doing. We hope to come back to Dykehead soon...."

"A very comfortable and enjoyable stay this May holiday weekend. We had a wonderful drive and walk up by Loch Katrine on Friday night; the sun was out over the water and it was a beautiful, clear sunny evening. We've had an excellent stay; the cottage is extremely comfortable, is well laid out and equipped, a real home from home and we'll be sorry to leave. Hopefully it won't be long until our next visit."
Alan, Morag, Hazel and Rhona (from Aberdeen)
"We all enjoyed staying here. We had everything we could possibly need. There was even chocolate when we arrived. I (Fran) liked Go Ape best about the holiday. My sister (Ellie) agrees - for once - about that but we also liked just being in the cottage. Grandma thinks that everything was provided for a happy holiday. My mum's (Jane) favourite bit was going to the priory on the island on the Lake of Menteith. My dad (Robert) had a very wet morning fishing on the Lake of Menteith but then made up for it by having a beautiful evening fishing."

"Lovely cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here in your very comfortable cottage. Have hired bikes and explored Loch Katrine, ventured further afield to Killen, managed to do some walking and Dad and Mathew enjoyed a day at Go Ape (which turned out to be a bit wet!), also a trip to Gleneagles to watch some golf which was a highlight for us all. Thanks once again."
Mathew, Alex, Jane and Geoff (Morpeth, Northumberland)
"The cottage is very warm and cosy. It is well equipped with all the basics. We enjoyed the quiet and serene environment. Will always remember watching the Olympics '08 in the warmth of the living room. Thanks for being so helpful and welcoming. We will surely recommend this place to friends and folks. Will come again."

" The cottage was lovely and ideal for a family with children. The area is beautiful and very densely populated - with sheep :-). David has been a gracious host and we could not ask for better accommodation. It was an amazing vacation."
Craig, Kellijo, Rainey and Colton (Virginia, USA)
"We had a very wonderful and busy week in the cottage. The area is very beautiful with rolling hills, lots of animals and crazy weather. Plus to the west are lots of hiking trails and Stirling and Edinburgh are very close. The cottage was lovely and we had a very pleasant time with our extended family. ENJOY!!"
Maribel, Charlie and Ian (Virginia,USA)
"A beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting. The view from the top of Ben Lomond made the hard walk worthwhile. Go Ape was the children's favourite, especially the very long zip wire. Lots to do in the area - wish we could stay longer."
Chris, Jane, Harry and Oliver (Nantwich, Cheshire)
"We were split between both cottages. Great start to 2009!! You have great accommodation - well kitted out, and the kitchen in Coll was well used for feeding our large clan!! Ideal for this kind of family break - great walks in surrounding area, some nice restaurants, and we were blessed with good weather. Hope we can return soon."

"We all had a fantastic holiday!"
Frances, Alan, Rhona and Rory (Shrewsbury, Shropshire)
"A lovely cottage with first class facilities. Extremely comfortable and relaxing. David was most welcoming and very helpful - little personal touches such as a gingerbread dinosaur biscuit for our grandson were much appreciated. The area around the cottage is beautiful with plenty to do or just space to relax in the outdoors. Climbing all the steps at the Wallace Monument was certainly worthwhile. Would also recommend the David Marshall Centre at Aberfoyle and Balmaha at Loch lomond. The village at Kippen - about 5 miles away - is beautiful and has a pub with great food - The Cross Keys - worth a visit."
Bill, Sylvia, Allan, Kate and Bobby (Aberdeen, Scotland)
"Personally I felt very welcome here, enjoyed the scones that were here when we arrived, so thanks for those! Thanks also for pointing out great places to go and see such as the walk around Loch Venachar and the Inn at Kippen. Thanks so much for the two meals you cooked us, they were lovely! I particularly enjoyed days such as the evening we all played pictionary and when we went on the little boat on the Lake of Menteith to the Priory. Top places to go (when the weather's nice) - Loch Lomond on the beaches and Mallaig (Fort William on the way!) where we saw seals in the harbour and the Harry Potter train on the trip up! Great stay thanks for everything."
"As I expected it was great to be here and share time with an old friend and see and catch up with you both. Lots of places and days I enjoyed - all the scenery - especially the drive through Glen Coe and from Fort William to Mallaig. The weather at times wasn't with us but it didn't stop us over the past two weeks. The good food at the Lade Inn at Callander and the men seemed to enjoy the real ale too! Loch Lomond seems to have something for everyone and Stirling town and Castle and Jail all worth a short car journey. Hopefully my olympic training for London will help me to keep up with everyone on the next walks. Thank you so much."
"Thanks to Martin and David for making us most welcome. We've had a fantastic holiday here in the Trossachs and the Scottish people we met were all very friendly. Thanks again to David and Martin, hope to see you soon"
Ash, Lyn, Tom and Emma (Loughborough, Leicestershire)
"The cottage and gardens are beautiful. The cottage is warm, cosy and well equipped, great for a family with young children. The fresh scones etc when we arrived were a lovely touch and really appreciated. The children enjoyed some of the games provided in the cottage for them to play with in the evenings. The fire laid out was very welcoming although it took me ages to light it, haven't done that since girl guides and boy scouts! We would like to thank our hosts who have been very helpful and welcoming, offering advice on the best routes to drive places and where is of interest locally. The Buchlyvie Inn is definitely recommended, they were very welcoming to our rabble and the food was lovely, home cooked and very reasonably priced. We have had a fantastic week and are sad to have to go home! Glen Coe pass is definitely worth seeing and the children enjoyed Balloch on Loch Lomond so much we paid a second visit the following day."

Ana, Jose, Diogo, Sao, Pecko (Lisbon, Portugal)
"Thank you so much for the use of your 2 lovely cottages. We found that everything we experienced was truly lovely. The extent that you went to to ensure we felt at home was fantastic - it was very well equipped to cope with the adults and children alike - the small touches and extras made us all feel important and wanted - intend to return. Thank you, 100%"

"We have had a wonderful 3 weeks staying in this lovely cottage. It has been great for Bill to catch up with friends and family after 25 years since his last visit to his homeland. Been to some beautiful places while here and hope to one day return. Thank you."
